Association Fruit Resource Educator
This position is part of a grant funded initiative to build and foster sustainable agriculture practices in Ulster County and the Hudson Valley. The Fruit Resource Educator will collaborate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of innovative educational programs that will enhance the profitability and sustainability of the fruit industries of Ulster County and New York. The individual will work collaboratively with others under the direction of the Senior Fruit Extension Educator to identify program needs and implement educational and research programs for commercial fruit growers. As a team member, they will actively participate with others extension staff, Cornell faculty and other fruit-industry representatives. They will help to represent CCE of Ulster County to Extension colleagues, volunteers, Cornell faculty and staff, government officials, community leaders and the general public in a professional manner. The delivery of educational programs will involve developing collaborations and partnerships with other Extension staff, the Eastern NY Horticulture Team, Cornell faculty, the Fruit Program Work Team and the fruit grower industries. This educator will seek out opportunities to enhance program funding through participation in local, state and national research and extension grant projects.

Organic Production Resource Educator
This position is part of a grant funded initiative to build and foster sustainable agriculture practices in Ulster County and the Hudson Valley. The Organic Production Resource Educator will collaborate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of innovative educational programs that will enhance the profitability and sustainability of the vegetable and fruit industries of Ulster County and New York. The individual will work collaboratively with others under the direction of the Senior Vegetable and Fruit Extension Educator to identify program needs and implement educational and research programs for commercial vegetable growers. As a team member, they will actively participate with extension staff, Cornell faculty and other fruit and vegetable-industry representatives. They will help to represent CCE of Ulster County to Extension colleagues, volunteers, Cornell faculty and staff, government officials, community leaders and the general public in a professional manner. Association Vegetable Resource Educator

Agriculture Business Management and Land Use Sr. Educator
This position is part of a grant funded initiative to build and foster sustainable agriculture practices in Ulster County and the Hudson Valley. The Farm Business Management and Land Use Educator will collaborate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of innovative educational programs that will enhance the profitability and sustainability of the vegetable and fruit industries of Ulster County and New York. The individual will work collaboratively with others under the direction of the Senior Vegetable and Fruit Extension Educator to identify program needs and implement educational and research programs for commercial agriculture growers. The educator will provide educational programs and services to entrepreneurs and producers in agricultural business management including finance, wholesale and retail market development, operations, production management, processing and value-added farm enterprises, crop insurance and the implementation of farm energy sustainability. The individual will serve as a resource for farmer to provide guidance and education of available resources to help them become and remain profitable and sustainable. Additionally, the educator will network with community members whose support of agriculture is important. Efforts will focus on enhancing local agriculture through broad efforts that include enterprise diversification and positioning, operations management, marketing and promotion, and distribution. The individual shall create functional networks with governmental, economic, and agricultural organizations. Although the position is business rather than production focused, the educator is expected to provide linkages of production resources as appropriate.
