Why do young people love 4-H?
They have fun with friends at meetings, social activities, tours, camps and fairs. They learn to do interesting things: take responsibility for animals, raise plants, explore nature, develop leadership skills, learn photography, develop public speaking skills, learn sewing and much more. All are busy enthusiastic young people.
Are members and leaders recognized for their achievements?
Yes! This is a very important aspect of the 4-H program. Recognition happens in any of the following ways:
annual achievement programs, leaders’ recoginition, pins and certificates, ribbons, trips, State Fair participation, county medals and youth fair exhibits.
